From my first consultation through to having my operation and last consultation, Dr Helme she was totally amazing, constantly putting my mind at ease when I was anxious and emotional! She helped me to make the right decisions for me and my body.
After surgery Sophie was amazing and the outcome of my operation was positive!
My scarring is minimal and she has done such a great job!
I couldn't recommend her more!

I had my inital consultation with Miss Helme at the end of January this year and despite delays with communication due to secretarial issues, Miss Helme kept in contact with me and I had my surgery in May. I had concerns that I would not be suitable for breast reduction surgery due to my age but she was very quick to reassure me. I am delighted with my new shape and size. I was well informed about any risks of my surgery and also aware that I was able to contact her easily if I had any concerns. I found her to be very compassionate and approachable and would not hesitiate to recommend her to anyone who may be considering breast surgery.

I can’t thank Sophie enough for the great job she did on my breast augmentation. I waited until the age of 55 to have this surgery and I couldn’t be happier. She has given me such natural looking breasts, I only wish I’d had it done years ago!!! She gave the best advice on size and shape. I understand the anxiety and emotional stresses breast problems can cause. I therefore centre my practice around listening to patient's concerns, addressing and investigating them if necessary and providing a clear and individualised solution. I aspire to do this is a friendly, open and sympathetic setting so that my patients really feel that they have had had a chance to be listened to.
I have had somewhat unusual training as I received specialist fellowship training in both oncoplastic breast surgery as well as cosmetic surgery. I use this training to individually tailor my approach for breast operations. I was awarded the Gold medal for excellence for my FRCS surgical examinations for achieving the highest mark nationally in 2012. I have worked as a consultant breast and endocrine surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth since 2015 which has one of the busiest breast units in the country.
